This campground is well worn but still has everything one would need. They have large site 50 amp service, cable TV, FREE Wi-Fi and laundry facilities. There is not a lot for children but if you are looking for something for bike week or a race this would be perfect. It is pretty close to the water and still close to I-95. The owners live on site and are very friendly and project a nice family atmosphere in the campground. If you are looking for a no frills park that still has all the amenities that are important like Wi-Fi and 50 amp service this is the place to be. We will be back to visit next time we are in the area.
We really loved the Slickrock campground. It is very close to downtown but not to close to be in the middle of it all. The campground is a little worn but there are visible signs that the owner is updating services. The people here are the best by far the friendliest place we have stayed. If you want a laid back total relaxing campground this is it. I would highly recommend this campground and we will be back here again.
This is a great campground. The only reason I gave it a 9 on ten scale was the sewer hookups are at the back of the lot and if you have a large trailer like mine you need 20+ feet of sewer hose. We had a great time the campground is within walking distance of Sedona downtown. They have a river running through the back of the park with a rope swing. Very clean the workers are super friendly and helpful. We will be back for sure.
We really liked the campground at the Grand Sierra. The sites were huge--double a normal campground. It was very clean and security was regularly in there driving around giving you a safe feeling. We had access to the pool and work out room included which were really nice and clean. Also if you wanted to go to any of the clubs at night that was also included. The casino was very nice and they have a lot to do for children. We will be back to the Grand Sierra campground.
We had a really nice time at this park. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the minute you get there. The roads were easily navigated even with my 39 ft 5th wheel. The sight was level and clean. There was a lot of activities for kids and still enough quiet to relax. We thought it was a little pricy and you had to pay for everything like wireless ect. I thought for the price they charged that should be free. I would highly recommend this camp ground and the Gettysburg area is a must for all campers.
This is a nice park and is very kid friendly. I would strongly suggest waiting until mid summer 2009 to stay here since they are undergoing major construction. They are adding more sites and the place is a wreck right now. Lots of bulldozers and construction equipment that runs from early morning till the evening. We knew they were building a water park but did not know we would be 20 feet from the actual construction. High school kids work the front desk so you cannot get definitive answers about sites and times of construction. When they were questioned about the campgrounds they became defensive and rude. The manager was very nice and made a trip to our site to talk to us. We took him up on his offer of a refund. By the end of the summer this should be a very nice destination to camp at but you will not be able to carry on a conversation let alone relax during the work going on.
Absolutely beautiful park very scenic and lots of shaded areas. April is cool in Georgia so you will need a jacket but the park cannot do anything about that. The people working there were very nice and helpful. I suggest getting a site with a sewer because the roads are tight and it takes sometime to get into the spots. Bring lots of cribbing for your trailer most sites are uneven. Although it is tight there were buses in there so don't be scared. Highly recommend this park.
